The Spring Hill Schools Special Services Advisory Team is comprised of approximately 2/3 parents of students with exceptionalities or receiving special services and 1/3 staff representatives. The team meets approximately 4 times per school year to work on identified goals to continually enhance special services by providing learning opportunities and sharing resources with district patrons.
- Function and purpose provide feedback and serve as a liaison for Special Services decisions made on behalf of the students.
- Provide opportunities to increase knowledge of IDEA processes and procedures.
- Share success stories of students and programs while maintaining student confidentiality.
- Provide knowledge and information regarding district Special Services programs.
- Share information regarding resources for families and students served through Special Services programs.
- Collaboration, problem-solving, and sharing of ideas to enhance the services offered in our district.
