In Fall 2020, the Spring Hill Education Foundation (SHEF) was pleased to award a Teacher Excellence Grant to Spring Hill Elementary. For the past few years, the foundation has been awarding these grants to teachers for projects to enhance extraordinary educational opportunities for students in the classroom. SHES was a recipient of a grant to purchase Inchy the Bookworm Vending Machine.

The vending machine will increase engagement and excitement in reading for students. Students will be able to build their family library by earning tokens for the machine.

Spring Hill Elementary is seeking donations to purchase new books for Inchy:

• Goals
  • Provide an opportunity for students to build their home library.
  • Encourage individual goal setting.
  • Foster the love of reading.
• Earn
  • Students earn books by reaching quarterly academic, social-emotional, or behavioral goals.
  • SHES PTO provides one book for each student for their birthday.
• Donate
  • Please consider a cash donation to SHES for the purchase of new books to be used in the book vending machine.
  • Donations over $250 will have a place card placed in the books with the donor's name and year donated.
  • Donations of new age-appropriate books will be accepted.
